Rocking Boat Books has recently been brought into being –

To offer workshops which -

• are innovative, specifically designed, creative writing workshops for people who really want to stretch their imaginations and express their ideas as authors, but have been limited in their opportunities by literacy and other social barriers.
  (Our workshops have lots of experience behind them and have already produced some great books authored by people who’d thought they’d never make it. We reckon our workshops are just about unique. See our workshop page (link below) for more info).

And to publish books for children and young people authored by -

• people living with disability (including autism, cognitive impairment, physical and sensory disabilities).
• adults who have had their opportunities limited by literacy, social barriers (including educational barriers, incarceration, language other than mainstream English, living in a regional or remote communities),
• older adults who’ve always wanted to, but have never had the opportunity to write stories.
